Organics Unlimited hosts contest to win paid volunteer week in Mexico
“Throughout September we celebrate GROW Month, a time to increase awareness of the good will of GROW, but why stop there?” says President and Co-Founder of Organics Unlimited, Mayra Velazquez de Leon. “Social responsibility is more than just a month long event, and what better time to encourage giving back.”
The winning volunteers will be accommodated by Project Amigo at one of their comfortable housing complexes in Cofradía de Suchitlán. Organics Unlimited will be responsible for airfare as well as the all-inclusive elements of the trip, including transportation, meals, entertainment, and cultural activities.
“These volunteer weeks are an incredible opportunity for anyone to experience meaningful hands-on service to help families and workers in Mexico who help make Organics Unlimited bananas possible,” continues Velazquez de Leon. “The GROW Fund supports Project Amigo to keep these programs available for anyone to volunteer, and it is through our retailers that we hope will not only promote this contest, but also GROW and social responsibility.”
Those looking to enter this contest may log on to Facebook.com/OUGROW, find the contest entry post, and follow the instructions for a chance to win. A winner will be selected and announced in early November.
