Vida Verde banana produced in Ecuador grows in the Russian market
Fruta del Pacifico S.A. (FDP) is finalizing the details to attend Russia’s most important food fair, the 22nd Moscow Food Fair 2013, scheduled for the 16,17,18 and 19 of September.
Even though, in recent years, FDP attended the fair as a visitor, this year the company decided to invest in a stand and attend as an exhibitor. Fruta del Pacifico will have a stand located within the group of Ecuadorian producing companies, located in Hall 2. All of the company’s commercial team will be at the fair in order to strengthen their relationships with existing customers and to acquire new ones.
One of FDP’s star products is the Vida Verde Banana produced in Ecuador, which is already being marketed in Russia. It is worth noting that Russia is currently one of the largest consumers of traditional Ecuadorian bananas. It’s an interesting market where fresh produce consumption has increased instead of decreased.
FDP has been sending Ecuadorian Bananas to St. Petersburg from where they are marketed throughout Russia. The current goal is to increase volumes for this market by 2014 given its good profitability.
