Italy: PGI for Vignola's cherry

Cherry from Vignola is going to obtain the European Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) against imitations and fakes in Europe. The well known cherry is cultivated in the area of the Panaro river, in several municipalities in the provinces of Modena and Bologna.
