US: NASA developed AiroCide Food Safety preventive controls at PMA

A record number of attendees at the recent PMA Fresh Summit Convention & Expo in Anaheim, CA found the latest technology innovations for Food Safety Preventive Controls. Air Sanitation is fast becoming a major consideration for food companies Risk Management protocols. One particular technology that is gaining ground across a range of food industries is AiroCide.

Airborne pathogenic contamination can pose a threat to food safety. Prevention rather than reaction has now transitioned from discussion to implementation. Destroying airborne mold, bacteria and reducing levels of VOC’s like ethylene gas will not only enhance quality assurance initiatives and maximize shelf life but will additionally reduce food waste along with adding protection against food recalls.

AiroCide is manufactured and distributed by Atlanta-based KES Science and Technology, Inc.
