Netherlands: Greydanus equipped with solar panels
In May of this year Greydanus expanded its energy preserve with solar panels. On the roof of the new terminal in Heerenveen, 288 panels were installed, covering a total of 1000 m2.
According to Klaas Greydanus the panelling will supply a substantial part of his daily energy. “I’m not saying the company is completely self-sufficient now, but there are days when solar heat provides more energy than the business itself uses. But the most important thing is that we don’t have to pay any fees. Also, CO2 emissions are down with 34,000 kg.”
