Spain: Council of Agriculture yet to publish citrus harvest estimates


The Council of Agriculture alleged as an excuse that giving this information would aid competitors, but nowadays everyone is aware of the reality of production, and furthermore, concealing data has not helped to improve the prices paid to growers; quite the contrary. This is why Mampel requests "maximum transparency in public information on the citrus sector, because eventually we all pay for it with rumours and lack of information, which seriously damage producers."
