2012 Retail Industry Awards

UK: Asda awarded “Fresh Produce Retailer of the Year”

Last night at a glittering ceremony held at London’s Grosvenor House Asda triumphed as the winners of “Fresh Produce Retailer of the Year” (multiple) at the 2012 Retail Awards. Also awarded in the category were Budgens (company-owned) and Crawfords, Maghera, County Londonderry (independent).

Dole Fresh UK, part of the Compagnie Fruitière, were proud to sponsor the award for the third year running, with Toni Direito presenting the awards on behalf if the company. Toni said “Both the judging panel and myself were thrilled with the high standard of all the entrants for this prestigious award, reflecting the strong contributions that they make to the Fresh Produce Industry. We extend our warmest congratulations to Asda, Budgens and Crawfords as well as all those shortlisted.
