Russia: Tomato processing plant to be built in Volgograd Region

The contract for this project was signed by the Governor of Volgograd Region, Mr. Sergey Bazhenov and by representatives of Getex Holding Ltd. during XI International Forum in Sochi. The Russian businessmen initiated the project which includes all stages of tomato growing and processing. Starting from growth of the young tomato plants to turning the vegetable into tomato paste.

The production complex of Getex Holding Ltd. invests a considerable amount of 4 Billion Rubles into this project. The start of construction work is planned for this year, and the conclusion is scheduled for 2016. The total capacity of the complex is planned to be 100,000 tons of tomato paste per year.

As Mr. Bazhenov commented the start of the new project, "we have signed a number of important and fruitful documents for Volgograd Region. They will give us an opportunity to renovate and construct new objects of hospitality and transportation sector, and to develop and use in an efficient way the agricultural resources of the Region.
