AYCO now offering greenhouse line

As part of AYCO Farm’s growth strategy, the company has fashioned a comprehensive greenhouse produce program. AYCO has acquired procurement and greenhouse production in the four leading Mexican growing regions in Mexico. Through its partnerships in these production areas Ayco will ship over three million cases this coming winter season.

“These new products are part of our new vision,” says Avi Nir, CEO of AYCO. “We have chosen arenas in which we can maximize our grower knowledge and farming controls from the ground up. We only get involved if we are in control of the production.”

In addition to the Mexico production, AYCO will offer an organic greenhouse line put together with corporate contacts in Europe and Israel. Shipments begin in the next four to six months. “The greenhouse production offers additional flexibility and options for our customers,” says Nir.

AYCO is committed to the integrity of its greenhouse product and has a team of people dedicated to ensure the product shipped meets all specifications. “The future is about sustainability, food safety and high quality,” says Nir. “Having a more controlled environment allows us to have more consistent production flows, something very important to our customers.”

The greenhouse program is market driven. “We are fortunate to work with some of the finest retailers and food service companies in the country.” says Nir. “We are focusing our efforts on their needs.”

To support its expansion in production, AYCO recently opened an office in McAllen, Texas. “All of our efforts from Pompano Beach to McAllen to Mexico to Israel allow us to find areas in which we can meet the expectations of our customer base,” says Nir.
