Netherland: Seminis announces open field vegetable open day
During these Open Days, Seminis will offer the perfect opportunity to discover many vegetable varieties. Visitors will be able to discover the many attributes of Seminis varieties such as taste, field holding, harvesting features, shelf life, resistances and health benefits.
Seminis, as a renowned seed breeding company and part of Monsanto, will present an impressive demonstration field at its Enkhuizen, Netherlands, facility comprising vegetables such as cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, spinach, leek, onions, carrots and lettuce. Seminis will show established varieties as well as new ones that are performing well in recent Technical Department trials.
Seminis account managers and technical specialists will be present and available to provide valuable advice as well as the possibility of a “meet and greet” information exchange with Seminis seed breeders. In addition there will be the opportunity to meet with others from the industry to discuss future market developments and consumer demands. The breeders will be hosting presentations in the field as per the schedule below.
During the open days Seminis will demonstrate the harvest of performance series broccoli, both Manually harvested as well as by harvest machines.
