Selected Agricultural data from the New Statistical Report (Central Bureau of Statistics) to the Israeli New Year (17.09.2012), shows the following details.

The value of agricultural output in 2011 stood at NIS 28.4 billion, NIS 17.1 billion of which was down to crops.

There was an increase of approximately 4.2% in the quantity of vegetables, potatoes, and melons in 2011, after a decrease of 9.9% in 2010, which resulted from the heat waves in Israel in that year.

The value of agricultural input increased by 11.2% in 2011. This increase originated mainly from an increase in the prices of fuel, lubricants, electricity, water, fertilizers and pesticides.

There was an increase of 8.2% in the consumption of water in agriculture in Jewish and mixed localities, from 996 million cubic meters in 2009 to 1,076 million cubic meters in 2010.
