Peru: Indonesian market appealing for Lambayeque table grape

According to the Regional Union of Exporters in Lambayeque, Peru, Indonesia turns out to be an interesting import market for Lambayeque table grapes.

The Asociación Regional de Exportadores, or AREX, stated that the Asian country, apart from being one of the biggest importers of coffee (with 41%), constitutes an “appealing” market for the region’s grapes. AREX, exploring market potential on the globe, marks down Indonesia as a prime market that, in spite of the global financial crisis, saw a 6% growth in 2011.

Good news to Lambayeque exporters, as Indonesia is one of the chief buyers of table grapes. As a consumer of grapes, it ranks number 7 in the world.
