US: Prima Bella Produce is now GloriAnn Farms
The name change is the latest step in the company's continuing growth and development. Founded by company president Mark Bacchetti and his wife Mary in 2001, GloriAnn Farms is the product of three generations of Bacchetti family experience in California agriculture. Mark grew up in the ag industry and when the time came to name his own brand of fresh sweet corn, he decided to recognize the importance of that family tradition and the GloriAnn brand was named in honor of his mother, Gloria Ann. Now, extending that honor to the name of the company, Mark has also been proud to welcome another family tradition; brothers Bill and Joe Colace were added as partners in 2010. The Colace's company, Five Crowns, is responsible for the sales and marketing for GloriAnn Farms. Coming from a similar three-generation agriculture family, Bill and Joe's experience has been an invaluable addition to the company.
"The name change is a big and exciting step for us," says Mark. "The rebranding to GloriAnn Farms honors our family tradition and strengthens our product positioning. We are known and sought after for our GloriAnn brand, country wide - the change to GloriAnn Farms reinforces this reputation."
GloriAnn offers a wide range of packaging options for farm fresh yellow, white, and bi-color sweet corn. The company ships in a variety of pack options, including bulk carton corn, husked and cleaned cobs and mini-cobs, and windowed multi-packs with microwaveable trays.
GloriAnn also packs its corn using the latest in iceless packaging technology, tested and developed on site, to maintain freshness far longer than with traditional methods.
