The organization pointed out that, with late melons still to be harvested (which will be done in the next few days), the campaign has covered two thirds of its duration and it is expected that it will finish without "significant news or unpleasant surprises."
It is expected that it will finish "with good commercial results and high returns for growers, above the production costs," he added.
Lastly, the commission approved the participation in the next AREFLH European contact group, which will take place in Cesena, Italy, on 27 September. The meeting will be held at the prestigious Macfrut Agri-food Fair, and representatives from Agri-Food Cooperatives of Castilla-La Mancha will attend it.
