High lettuce prices in Germany

In week 34, there was Belgian as well as domestic lettuce on the German wholesale market. The heat made its mark in week 34 and that was reflected in the quality. Many lettuce leaves were burned and it was difficult to keep fresh. For good batches better prices were paid. The highest prices were paid in Frankfurt. Iceberg supply was mainly domestic, but was supplemented with Dutch supply.
