Argentina: Onion loses competitiveness

Due to bacteria living on onion plants, the quality of the Argentinian onion is at risk. Local organisations, like INTA, Corfo and the UNS, are dedicated to finding solutions. These, however, have not yet been found.

Export of the onion has increased to 31% in 2011.
