Belgium: foodcareplus and NYK Cool offer fast shipping to Nicaragua

Together with NYK Cool, foodcareplus has launched a fast, reliable all water service for the delivery of fresh produce to Corinto (Nicaragua), via Puerto Limon (Costa Rica).

There are alternative services through the Panama Canal with transit times of up to 45 days. The solution proposed by foodcareplus and NYK Cool takes just half this time, as the NYK Cool vessels leave Antwerp every week for Puerto Limon, a journey of 19 days. From Puerto Limon, the containers continue via road transport to Corinto where they arrive 2-3 days later.

Thanks to special 3-axle transport units, up to 26,000kg can be loaded into each reefer container.
