Peru: Good results for agriculture in Europe and North America

Between January and June 2012, Peru's exports totaled USD 1.382 million, which meant maintaining a positive agricultural balance with Europe and North America, but negative with South American countries.
 
According to the latest report from Customs, developed by Agrodataperu a specialized portal, the main destination of Peruvian products was the U.S. with USD 348 million, followed by the Netherlands with USD 178 million.
 
Spain (USD 110 million), Germany (USD 94 million), Colombia (USD 85 million), United Kingdom (USD 51 million), Belgium (USD 45 million), France (USD 39 million), among others.
 
IMPORTS
 
Regarding agricultural imports, Argentina was the main supplier of agricultural products with USD 586 million, which represented 35% of the total purchased, compared to USD 5.9 million sold.

Appearing as the second largest importer, the United States with USD 280 million, after Bolivia with USD 148 million, Canada (USD 106 million), Paraguay (USD 91 million) and Chile (USD 75 million).

Fact
 
• In 2011, Peruvian exports were delivered to over 150 countries, totaling USD 4.206 million.
