Peruvian exports of processed mango (uncooked or cooked with water or steam, unsweetened and frozen) presented an average annual growth of 12% between 2008 and 2011, reported today the Foreign Trade Society of Peru (ComexPerĂș).
Also, the momentum continued this year, which was clearly seen from January to June with exports that reached USD 27 million, 16% more than the same period of 2011.
Among the major destinations, United States sales totalled USD 14 million in the first half of the year and reported a growth of 26% over the same period of 2011.
Belgium followed with USD 2.7 billion (31%), Japan with USD 2.6 million (24%) and Canada with USD 2.5 million (9%), Andina reported.
