Fruitylife - promotion project for safety and quality of fruit and veg
Fresh fruit and vegetables are on the daily menus of European consumers. But how do we know about the safety of these products and about the origin? To answer these questions and to promote a healthy and balanced diet the project Fruitylife will start in the coming weeks in Italy, France and Germany. The project is coordinated by the Italian organization Alimos - Alimente la salute and is co-financed by the European Union and the Italian government, reports the German Agrarmarkt Informations-Gesellschaft (AMI) on its website.
The project consists of information and direct advertising in shops and supermarkets. Here the fruit and vegetable departments provide information posters and leaflets will be distributed. Consumers also receive a fruit and vegetable calendar where the seasons are marked, so they always can eat seasonal products. Also, a television advertising campaign in which fruit and vegetables will be used as everyday objects. A woman wearing a green bean used as eye-liner and a carrot stick as a marker pen will be seen. The adverts will underline the importance of fresh fruit and vegetables for our health.
At the end of the summer, there will be a communication campaign on the Internet. The website www.fruitylife.eu gives information and facts about the European supply of fruit and vegetables, the origin of products and food safety. There will also be good seasonal recipes.
