With Farmsecure’s Independent Consultation Service, there is no more guess work when it comes to farming. Experts with a wealth of experience in the fields of horticulture, agronomy and soil science take a scientific approach to farming and offer tailor-made services and advice. The consultants provide on farm consultation visits and, with an extensive array of professional services underpinning them, are able to provide holistic advice during critical crop growth stages, and deliver comprehensive feedback within seven working days.

The services are tailored to suit each client’s needs, and could comprise of a horticulturist or nutrition specialist for general consulting services, or specialists from our Crop Working Groups to address specific problem areas. A Crop Working Group is defined as as a team of specialists practising in the fields of plant physiology, plant nutrition and crop protection for a specific crop and geographical area. Other areas of expertise can be included into a Crop Working Group, including an irrigation specialist, post-harvest specialist, orchard planning specialist, root health specialist and soil scientist, depending on the client’s needs with the sole objective of optimizing output and quality through a well-structured and coordinated service offered in a cost-effective way.

In addition to this, underpinning services such as new orchard development, precision farming, irrigation, technical services, remote sensing and geographical information systems ensures that the full farming potential can be achieved with the help of a consistent, targeted service combined with sound advice.

Using innovative remote sensing technologies to determine immediate and most limiting orchard risks, a targeted range of precision agricultural services are made available to the client, specifically suited to the client’s needs and risk profile.
