Leon Bol en Martin van der Sande

Ex-Greenery duo start new company

Former Greenery directors, Martin van der Sande and Leon Bol have launched a new trading company called New Green from a property in Poeldijk, The Netherlands. Agreements with The Greenery had been met, but the pair still wanted to be involved in the sector, said Leon Bol.

"We have been up and running for about 4 weeks, we have trade on all sides and have been able to pick up many old contacts. We have devised a concept which we believe is of interest to growers to bring cultivation to the supermarket," continues Leon. "Initially we will focus on the 'large' greenhouse vegetables, namely peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers and aubergine. The focus will be on exports, both to Europe and overseas."
