possible presence of salmonella

Various recalls of bean sprouts in Belgium

In recent weeks there have been several product recalls in Belgian supermarkets. It was due to a possible presence of salmonella in bean sprouts, reports the Federal Agency. On Friday, July 27 there was a recall by Univeg Belgium. The soy sprouts (bean sprouts) of the brand Forestière by this company were recalled. The same day also saw the retailers Delhaize and Carrefour in a recall by the Federal Agency. It was concerning the bean sprout and wok mixes in which this product was included. Products with expiration date of 26, 27 or 28 July. These products were withdrawn directly from sales and customers asked to bring them back to the store.




In early August there was another recall of Delhaize Product Fresh Sticks. Delhaize had trays with vegetable sticks of their own brand withdrawn from the sale because of possible listeria contamination.
