Prodew takes vegetable misting to Far East

Prodew Inc., manufacturer of misting and humidity systems for the post-harvest and retail industries, continues to make inroads with its VersaFresh misting system into the Chinese supermarket industry. Retailers, who have hesitated in recent years to install ultrasonic misting systems due to the proven risks of Legionnaire’s Disease, have found a safe alternative in Prodew’s systems. In the past several months, and after a recent trip to the Far East by its’ owners, Prodew has seen a renewed interest in and increased installations of produce misting systems in China. Prodew’s systems have recently been installed in two of the largest supermarket chains in China and more installations are anticipated in the coming months. Chinese retailers have embraced the cost-savings and benefits of automatic misting for vegetable and seafood displays.
