More Peruvian firms participating in Fruit Logistica Fair

Peru has been confirmed as a guest of honour in the 2013 Fruit Logistica Fair, to be held in the city of Berlin, Germany, between 6 and 8 February next year.

Promperu's Export Manager, Luis Torres, is expecting the participation of Peruvian fruit and vegetable firms to increase by at least 40% in the current edition.

He also hopes for Peru's exhibition pavilion to be 30% larger, and the estimated purchase orders to rise by 25% compared to 2012, taking into consideration the previously recorded growth of about 10% per year.

He also referred to the fact that Peru's status as a guest of honour is the result of a joint venture between the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), Promperu and the German-Peruvian Chamber of Commerce, which will not only bring excellent joint product supply, but also improve Peru's image, making it appear as a solid and stable economy to the hundreds of entrepreneurs visiting Berlin.

Promperu's contribution in terms of support will include providing specialists with the right training to sell their products, translation services and being present at various activities, among other things.
