Post-Kogeko, Visbeen and DailyFresh Logistics

EU: Logistics combination for new solutions

Post-Kogeko, Visbeen and DailyFresh Logistics, logistics services providers, are set to make increased use of their collective experience to promote their joint growth and expand the scope of their services.

Post-Kogeko, Visbeen and DailyFresh Logistics are specialised in refrigerated and frozen food logistics. "The companies complement each other," explains Frans Denie, Post-Kogeko's Managing Director. "As a trio we offer a broad package of logistics services ranging from frozen food logistics, with a finely-meshed distribution network in the Benelux, right through to chilled transport of fresh produce to and from many European countries. In combination, we see more opportunities to implement innovations and offer new logistics solutions in order to create a denser network. As developers of new concepts and the managers and operators of our services, we will be able to offer our customers more added value - something the market is increasingly demanding from us."

Post-Kogeko and Visbeen have been cooperating as partners in DailyFresh Logistics since 1998. They carry out daily transports of vegetables and fruit to the UK and German markets. In addition, they recently began operating a new intermodal service for refrigerated and frozen shipments between Spain, Portugal, the UK and the Netherlands. Replacing a large number of road kilometres with short-sea connections reduces costs and leads to lower CO2 emissions. "We expect to make increasingly frequent use of intermodal transport in the future," says Adrie Visbeen of the Visbeen Transport Group. "By water as well as by rail. We also intend to expand the number of European destinations to enable us to serve our customers on a wider scale."
