Brazil: Revenue from orange juice exports fell by 17%

Brazilian exports of orange juice had a turnover of USD 175.6 million in June this year, a fall of 16.97% compared to the USD 211.5 million registered in the same month of last year, and from 1.68% compared to USD 178.6 million in May 2012.

According to data released by the Ministry of Foreign Trade (Secex), of the Ministry of Development, the export volume of orange juice in the last month reached 125.8 thousand tons, going down by 33.65% compared to
the 189,600 tons of June 2011 and a decrease of 9.56% compared to 139,100 tons in the May.

The average price per ton of exported juice is in June was of USD 1,395.90, 25.1% higher than the $1,115 per ton in June of last year and 8.78% higher compared to the $1,283.20. per ton in May 2011.
