UK: FreshTec launch to help food and fresh produce industry
FreshTec Agricultural Consultancy Limited (FreshTec) will provide a one-stop-shop that will enable companies involved in the food chain to strengthen their business position by achieving technical excellence.
Services provided by FreshTec will include short to medium term interim technical management as well as specific technical project management services such as new product and varietal development; quality management system auditing and management; and pesticide and farm assurance strategy.
With over 20 years’ experience of working in agriculture and fresh produce production both in the UK and overseas, Richard has a thorough understanding of the technical challenges faced by the complex global food chain.
Following a successful academic career, he spent four years working as a vegetable and salads consultant with ADAS then a further 10 years as a technical manager for companies such Mack Multiples, Bedfordshire Growers and Greenery UK.
Explaining the thinking behind the launch, Richard said: “FreshTec was borne from a desire to provide sound technical advice and support to businesses seeking that all essential technical dimension, which can strengthen their position in an already competitive market”.
Based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, FreshTec has a global outlook and will develop business with customers who have needs in the UK as well as overseas.
