Netherlands: Legro Potgrond say hydroton availability good

Due to a restructuring of the production plants at one of the leading German Hydroton producers and the presence of a few undefined shipments of poor quality there has been a lot of rumour on the Hydroton market. This has lead to confusion and uncertainty about quality and availability.

Indeed, according to Legro Potgrond, "Availability was limited during 1 week because of the restructuring of our Hydroton producer. But at the moment we have sufficient volumes available and from the new production location the quality available is good."

"Also in our own facility we’ve invested in packing capacity. By installing a new loading and transporting installation our production of packed Hydroton has increased. All sizes (5, 10,40 and 45 ltr) are now automatically packed and palletised."
