Canada: International Raspberry Organization 8th international meeting

The International Raspberry Organization (IRO) announces the 8th international meeting, to be held in Abbotsford, BC, Canada. The conference will be on June 3 – June 6, 2012. The conference is an opportunity for raspberry producers around the world to meet to discuss their local industries. Presentation from each member country includes the number of producers, the acreage in production, the production techniques, research projects and the promotion and marketing of local raspberries. Members exchange ideas on how to increase the consumption of raspberries.

For this conference there will be two days of field trips – one to Washington State, USA and one to the Fraser Valley, BC, Canada. On the field trips, there will be farm, processing and machinery tours. In addition, a reception and harbour cruise of Vancouver, BC will show case the cuisine and wines of the Pacific North West of North America.
