Decrease in German vegetable export 2011

The German Agrarmarkt Informations-Gesellschaft (AMI - Agricultural Market Information Organisation) have announced that, during 2011 around 423,000 tons of fresh vegetables were exported by Germany. This was 14% less than in 2010. This was also the smallest export quantity of the last seven years. Of the total vegetable assortment there were only a few kinds of vegetables of which the export increased. Amongst others these were carrots, beans, asparagus and spinach.
