decrease in South African volumes

Net profit of Capespan increases by almost 30%

Despite a turbulent global market the Capespan Group has reached an increase of net profit of 28.7% for the year 2011. This is a sum of 13.6 million Euro. The company result increased from 2.9% to 262 million.

In the fruit and vegetable sector the turnover increased due to better prices for table grapes. The volume of these was less due to climatological conditions. There was also a general decline of fruit volumes from South-Africa.
