Trailer and 45ft container Ro/Ro service Spain

Visbeen starting new service

Visbeen, in cooperation with Post-Kogeko and Coolboxx, has started a 3 times per week service, via Transfennica from Holland via Zeebrugge and once a week from England via Tilbury, to and from Spain and Portugal. The services will operate with temperature controlled trailers and Coolboxx cooling containers. The reason for the move is to reduce both costs and Co2 emmissions.

More and more companies are requesting alternatives to road transportation because of the increasing expense, such as toll, fuel etc. and partly because their customers apply more and more pressure to use alternative means of transport for environmental reasons. This is an excellent solution for this.

"Because of the know-how in Ro-Ro transport to England and to have the use of the correct equipment, together with a good organisation for this kind of transport we decided to start this. For trips from the Benelux/Northern Europe to e.g. Madrid v.v. we do not use about 2,200 kms of roads, which is two thirds of the total distance."

Shipments from England, Benelux and northern Europe are collected immediately. In Spain as well is an extra service where shippers can deliver their goods themselves at the free EU port of Saturce/Bilbao, where they can be transferred into trailers and containers, which to countries as England, Belgium and the Netherlands because of the higher weights allowed, are advantageous, increasing to 20%, which again results in lower cost prices per kg. and less CO2 emission.
