First tomatoes sold at Mechelse Veilingen

Bel’Primo, the newest member of the Speciality Street family

Last week the first Bel'Primo vine tomatoes were sold at the Mechelse Veilingen. T.B.O. Pittori from Duffel Bel'Primo grows them, a tomato of the type mini San Marzano, exclusively for Belgium. Filip and Lieve Pittoors and their team have 18 years experience in cultivation of tomatoes.



The tomatoes have these characteristics:
  • Average fruit weight of 18 to 22 grammes
  • Different shape
  • High brix value of 8 – 10
  • Delicious aromatic taste
  • Strong and crispy flesh
  • Can be used as an appetiser in a Southern salad or in a delicious tomato sauce
  • Excellent shelflife
  • Grown according to Flandria guidelines with help of innovative techniques
