Argentina: Companies combine forces to minimise costs
The group of companies will extend operations by sourcing bananas and pineapples from Costa Rica and Ecuador and trading them on the global market. In addition new markets such as Egypt, Lithuania and Libya will be entered with existing products and bigger volumes sent to current markets like Europe, Russia, Canada and the Middle East.
The group will also concentrate on the South American market.
Jacques Joubert from Global Trading told FreshPlaza that talks are almost complete and the deal will be finalised very soon.
The companies are being unified under the name SUDFRUIT, producing, packing, trading their conventional produce such as grapes, apples, pears, lemons, oranges cherries and blueberries. (Cataloque is available on request)
