Photographic report Mercado Valencia

Last week I was in Valencia and visited Mercado Central there. In this beautiful, covered hall various fruit and vegetable dealers show their fresh produce from Monday to Friday inclusive. There was a large assortment of (processed) potatoes, onions. vegetables, exotics, fruit and herbs. In the market hall one finds this well-known pleasant Spanish atmosphere. The large supply of strawberries and fresh vegetables was striking. In first instance I thought that the strawberries were very low priced, but prices were only for a quarter of a kilo. These varied from 60 to 70 cents. This is about 2.40 to 2.80 Euro/kg. Many traders also supplied fresh juices and smoothies. The display of fresh produce was a joy to look at!
