NL: Ulma Packaging introduces robotised feeding system for peppers

Ulma Packaging is introducing it's robotised feeding system for peppers. Due to this unique system it's now possible to put 70 traffic light peppers or 120 single peppers per minute in the infeed chain fully automatically. The robotised feeding system works like this:

  • The peppers are moved to our system from the pepper scales
  • The peppers are transported to the robot with a conveyor belt
  • A vision system detects the pepper and the direction of the stalk
  • Using vacuum suction naps the "Delta Robot" picks up the peppers
  • The "Delta Robot" places the pepper on the infeed chain of the Ulma Flowpacker with the stalk in the right direction.

The company also offer an additional system for checking the quality of you products. Ulma Packaging invites you to view their test set up in their development centre in Switzerland (may 2012).
