Netherlands: Van de Watering start Asia Holland

The empire of the CDS-Group of Cees van de Watering has been growing over the last few years for everybody to see. After Fino & Fresco, Potato Partners and Viva Fruit with effect from 1st of March Asia Holland has been started in order to import Chinese fruit and vegetable products. Tim de Leeuw and Thieu van de Watering are responsible for Asia Holland.

According to Cees van de Watering much has been invested in the contacts with Asian suppliers over the past period. "We start with the import of pomelo's, garlic, ginger and fuji-apples, ya-pears and nashi-pears, which we then export to European markets" Cees van de Watering tells. He firmly believes in the start of these daughter companies. "Cross pollination is the result and everybody is responsible for his own department."

Ultimately Van de Watering hopes to start the export of fruit and vegetables to China with Asia Holland. "We realise that this will take a lot of time with all the sanitary conditions which apply, but we do see this as an export market with enormous possibilities" Cees concludes.
