Italy: Dal Pane Vivai offers kiwifruit seedlings from Psa-free country

Argentina, together with Uruguay, is one of the very few Psa-free countries producing kiwifruit. Psa devastated European and New Zealand kiwifruit orchards.

The known disease, originating in China, affected Italian crops years ago, in particular yellow cultivar in Latina, but it has not yet appeared in the Lionel Messi's homeland.

Thanks to a windy and dry climate, an always mild winter and plants very distant from each other, after two years of monitoring and analysis, no presence of Psa has been recorded. For this reason Dal Pane Vivai offers seedlings from Argentina in order to provide safe materials to clients.

Argentinian and Italian services will control incoming and outgoing seedlings.

This activity has been carried out for four years. The arrival of seedlings, after 700 hours in cold container, is expected in Italy end of May-early June. Seedlings are 2.5 years old and have a diameter of 12-14 mm, ready for planting. In just two years they will be in full production!
