Rijk Zwaan’s Salón de Gourmets Debut

As it prepares to welcome visitors to its own stand there this year, vegetable breeding company Rijk Zwaan is gearing up for its début as an exhibitor at the Salón de Gourmets, one of Europe’s leading culinary trade shows, from 5 to 8 March 2012.

Salón de Gourmets offers Rijk Zwaan the chance to present its innovative vegetable varieties and concepts to all manner of organisations involved in fine food and beverages. Each year, the trade fair attracts some 80,000 attendees from all across Europe, ranging from countless restaurants and caterers to other foodservice companies and specialists.

Highlights on the Rijk Zwaan stand will include the MyCubies snack cucumbers, the Mellissimo melon concept and the Salanova lettuce developed with convenience in mind – all products which are particularly appealing to the culinary sector thanks to their superior taste and wide variety of ways in which they can be prepared.

Salón de Gourmets is also an excellent opportunity for Rijk Zwaan to promote its Lovemysalad.com concept. This online platform enables members of the culinary sector to share their passion for vegetables, not only with other professionals from the vegetable chain but also directly with consumers. The ultimate aim of this innovative ‘social salad network’ is to contribute to stimulating worldwide vegetable consumption.

Salón de Gourmets takes place in Ifema in Madrid, and Rijk Zwaan’s stand will be located in hall 5, stand number 5I27.
