Spain: Limited impact from cold on lemon production

Low temperatures that affected the provinces of Alicante, Murcia and Malaga from the 3rd to the 14th of February, have had a limited impact on the production of lemon; in any case, it is not expected for this to condition negatively the development of this campaign in the coming weeks.
 
There is enough production with the adequate quality to continue the lemon campaign.
 
However, Ailimpo (Spanish Lemon and Grapefruit Interprofessional Association) recommends the sector to take thorough measures in the harvest to avoid any inconveniences.
