France hopes to restore seed potato export to Iraq

France hopes to increase the sales of seed potatoes to Kurdistan to around 800 tonnes. That's around a fifth of what it was before the American invasion of Iraq in 2003. Before the war Iraq was the largest buyer of French seed potatoes. After the war they lost that position. Now the French want to restore those sales. Restoring the market is to be achieved using the varieties, and it is to be done in the economically and agriculturally underdeveloped north of Iraq
