This year the stand has been improved. Wooden panels were combined with striking pictures at the top of the stand. These showed apart from atmosphere pictures of products the skill of the Flemish family companies. It is after all the involvement and the skill of these family companies, which supply products of top quality. "The fruit was presented in payful globes and displays. As last year the vegetables were shown in a large Flandria wall, which again was emphasized by large photographs at the back. Also Speciality Street was again in its separate area and presentation well illustrated. The most striking corner was of course the durability corner, where we really went all out with the new 'Responsibly Fresh' trademark" Sofie Lambrecht tells.

"The fair started with an immediate peak: The unveiling of the new durability hallmark by our Prime Minister Kris Peeters. 'Responsibly Fresh' symbolyzes the engagement of the fruit and vegetable producers and cooperatives to go the road to further durability together. All fruit and vegetables with this label have been produced with attention to the equilibrium between people, plant and profit."
"The exporters and trade organisations were again full of praise at the end of the fair. They have for three days again non-stop been able to strengthen their contacts with existing clients and to meet new ones. It was striking that the first day was still busier at our stand than the first day of the fair of 2011. There were also far more visitors from Russia and neighbouring countries and less visitors from South European countries."
