US (FL): Lipman aquires Branscomb Produce

Lipman has acquired Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based Branscomb Produce.

“We are thrilled to add Branscomb to our Lipman team,” said Kent Shoemaker, CEO of Lipman. “Eddie Branscomb and Al Yancey are respected tomato industry veterans.”

The newly acquired company will join Lipman’s network of research and development, farming, packing, processing, repacking and procurement solutions. Eddie Branscomb, his son Ben and Al Yancey will take on an expanded role with Lipman.

“We’re proud to join Lipman and be a part of the company’s integrated network,” said Eddie Branscomb, owner of Branscomb Produce. “We want to help our customers succeed, and this move gives them closer access to the acre.”

Lipman commands a large percentage of the fresh tomato industry with 23 locations throughout North America.
