Peru: Rain is affecting mango production

It has started raining on Peruvian mango plantations and this is affecting production quantity. "Because of the rain, the amount of mangoes produced has decreased although quality has not been affected," says one of the mango producers and exporters in Peru.

Exporters hope for the rain to stop, so that production can return to normal. Low production has an advedrse effect on Peruvian mango traders, who, quite simply, have less product to offer the international market.
