horticultural crops.
The aim of this new position is to optimize and organize contacts with companies that are part of the horticultural product trade chain: from fruit and vegetable auction houses and cooperatives to importers and supermarkets. This will guide Semillas Fitó varieties to the commercial demands of producers and large European distribution, whilst also creating a direct route to inform about the varieties of the company.
Tom Lombaerts graduated in Business Administration from the University of Ghent in Belgium. He has extensive experience in the intermodal logistics industry, having developed projects to export fruit and vegetables from the Spanish south-eastern area to Europe by sea. This has enabled him to get to know intimately both the national and Almería´s horticultural sectors, as well as the intricacies of the European fresh produce trade.
