Netherlands: Westende Fruitteelt Ltd opens modern sorting hall

Saturday, January 28th, the Open Day at Coforta grower Westende Fruitteelt, Nederland, took place. Westende Fruitteelt has used the most modern techniques its new sorting and packaging hall. Several hundred interested people visited the Open Day to take a look in Fijnaart, where at the moment around 10 million pears are being processed for customers of The Greenery and Jover, from Holland and abroad. Westende itself already accounts for a volume of around 6.5 million kilos.

Rinus van 't Westende, Marian Hilgers - Van 't Westende and Dick den Dunnen symbolically open the new building

Greenery Product Manager Bert Wilschut had the pleasure of welcoming everybody in the name of the 't Westende family, who then spoke to the crowd and gave an explanation of the realisation of the entire project in which Jan Vernooij, manager Jover, has been involved since the beginning.
