Interpoma puts the apple in the spotlights

Interpoma, the international fair for growing, storing and selling apples, will take place one week later in 2012 than two years ago. The fair takes place in the Italian Bozen and is held between 15 to 12 November 2012.

Apple production is in recovery after the setback last season. According to estimates the apple production in Europe in 2011/2012 will be around 10.2 million tonnes. The branch is optimistic, partially due to the fact that the consumption has increased due to the price stability.

Interpoma is divided into four different ranges: growing techniques, storing techniques, sales, and sorting and packing techniques. The fair is led by a specialist conference with the title 'The apple in the world' and there will be apple experts from all five continents present all three days. On the first conference day, the 15th of November 2012, global trend in the apple cultivation and the sales of apples will be the subject, and also affairs such as deciding your location. On the second day the theme 'soil exhaustion' will be dealt with, among others, and on day three the main point will be innovations in the area of research and cultivation.

The Interpoma takes place once every two years. In 2010 the fair attracted 14,240 visitors from 58 countries, with its 354 exhibitors of 18 different nationalities. That's 22% more than in 2008. With this it confirmed its role as a gloablly knwon and valued fair in the areas of apples.
