Dropping to 1.50 Pesos per kilo

Mexican lemon prices going down

Hundreds of lemon producers in the Valley of Terra Caliente in Mexico, are now at the worst stage of what should be the best time of the year for citrus production.

He denounced the intrusion of citrus "resellers", who force the citrus to be sold at low prices, despite it being one of the best seasons for the product, "while, in other supplying markets it's sold for up to 8 Pesos per kilo, meaning, they buy it cheap in Apatzingán and resell it for 6.50 Pesos more expensive outisde Apatzingán". Ledezma is supported by the producers in Valley Tierra Caliente to demand help from the citrus representatives.
