ACSI sold 60,000,000 kilos until January

Spain: Horticultural sales in Almería grow by 12%

"The campaign was average regarding price evolution and that was quite positive in order to recover the illusion and the hope of every farmer". That was the way José María Andújar, president of the Agricultural Cooperative San Isidro (ACSI), valued the present situation of the horticultural campaign in Almería, after a start marked by a strong price crisis that motivated a mobilization in the fields, blaming big distribution chains of striking ruinous deals for farmers.

Andújar explained that ACSI has already commercialized between 10 and 12% more volume than last year around this time, with the help of the fact that plantations were a bit earlier, meaning something like 12,000,000 more kilos. In the campaign's cumulative, the cooperative sold 60,000,000 kilos, as pointed out by its president.
